German Dance Award 2007 for her live long work as dancer
and choreographer. She is one of the most important
representatives of German Ausdruckstanz
The award
takes place 28. April 2007 at Aalto-Theater Essen.

VERFOLGEN
Susanne Linke reconstructs and reconquers
her most personal solo "Schritte verfolgen": She now
distributes the process of the protagonist's development
between four dancers in her piece. Out of that comes a
biography of the body, which also narrates of the
continual contradiction between self-doubt and the
desire to portray something. But also from the process
of the ageing as an experience of physical changes and
as a liberating act of maturing. At the same time
'Schritte verfolgen' touches on a continual theme of
Dance: "perpetual" youth and bodily vitality.
It
will be premiered on February 16th and17th in PACT
Zollverein, Essen.
It is a coproduction of
The.Lab art & media, PACT Zollverein and Théâtre Le
Phénix, Valencienne, supported by Kulturstiftung des
Bundes and Kulturstiftung NRW.
