Tanz-Dis-tanz

The content of Tanz-Dis-tanz is concerned with the artistic creative process and pursues the question as to how and where the images of creative people originate. What dreams and yearnings move the artist, what new worlds can he create? The stage offers space for the impulse and imagination that cancel out the limitations of the real world. By playing with dimension and spatial perspective, the evocative conversion of space and the interplay between dance on stage and the film medium, a world is created for the audience which hints at the inner world and visual space of the dancer / choreographer. Thus a virtual dialogue develops which can communicate to the audience the two choreographers’ very personal and biographically moulded modes of effort and expression.

“Linke/Dietrich appear in physical conjunction with this synthesised world, which in turn portrays the real auditorium. The manner in which Linke and Dietrich deliberately and minimally deploy their fragile, sensitive bodies therein appears playful, in part jauntily ironic, but not for a second intellectually aloof”.
